Sizzling passion, medieval intrigue, and an alpha hero to steal your heart, KIERAN THE BLACK will please the reader on many levels. The characters are well developed, the story is enjoyable, and the pace quick. Dialogue is amusing, especially some of Lizzie's modern vernacular that leaves her Norman husband scratching his head. Lizzie is true to who she is, despite the fact that she is now eighteen again. She never acts the simpering miss, but is always the independent headstrong woman she is inside. The love scenes are scorching, and plentiful, but not to the point of overwhelming the story. This is my first read of Julia Templeton's work but it won't be my last. She understands the concepts of eroticism and romance and blends the two seamlessly.
For a fast, super sexy read, I recommend KIERAN THE BLACK.

This book is a historical romance with a great twist. I enjoyed this book immensely as it is a compelling and beautiful love story with love scenes which flow naturally and easily within the pages.
Ms. Templeton has a true gift for writing a fast paced, action packed, and humorous historical romance with excellent knowledge of the era, effortlessly weaving the information into a story without allowing it to overtake the true essence of the love story.
This book is rated hard R due to some of the risqué language that some would find offensive. I believe that this story would not have been such a great, must read without this touch of daring. I applaud Ms. Templeton for knowing this and using it naturally.
I look forward to reading more stories from Julia Templeton.

All in all, I found this to be a quick read and an enjoyable time-travel historical. Kieran was a bit modern but it didn't take away from the story. The characters were easy to care about and I enjoyed seeing their relationship progress. I'm looking forward to reading more from Ms. Templeton in the future.
