When independent Amanda Holladay finds out her fiancé cheated on her with another woman, she decides to pack up, go home, and leave men alone for a while. Amanda revises her plans when she meets her younger brother's twenty four-year-old best friend, Dylan Ryder. After spending some time with Dylan, who happens to be a drop-dead gorgeous construction worker, Amanda might have to change her plans.
Hometown Hero is an erotic contemporary short story that is a great book to read when you don't have much time on hand. The first thing that struck me was the plot. The main and secondary characters were well written and I could identify with the idea of trying to get your life back to a place of sanity. If you've never read any of Ms. Templeton's work you'll be surprised with her talent of telling a story; writing with vividness and such intense emotions that you are drawn into her characters world. Amanda is a great woman as she learns so many important things about life and happiness, and Dylan, what can I say, he's every woman's dream come true. The love play in this story is romantic, erotic, and intense; just plain HOT! I recommend that anyone looking for a hot story with a whole lot of sizzle should check out this book, you won't be disappointed.

Hometown Hero is a wonderfully written erotic short story. The story flows smoothly making it a very enjoyable quick read. Amanda and Dylan sizzle and scorch the pages with their undeniable chemistry. Ms. Templeton does an excellent job creating an erotic but believable short story. It made me wonder if my younger brother's friends turned out so well. Hometown Hero is without doubt a keeper.

Flight Attendant, Amanda Holladay, decides to move back to her home town when she discovers her pilot fiancé having sex with one of her fellow flight attendants. Amanda quits her job, heads for Elm Creek, Oregon and buys a fixer-upper house. Her little brother Jeff and his best friend since childhood, Dylan Ryder, agree to help her with repairs. Amanda remembers Dylan as the cute dark haired boy with beautiful green eyes, but now he's 25 and he's definitely not a cute dark haired boy any longer. Dylan is gorgeous, owns his own construction company, and has grown into someone Amanda desires.
Dylan has had a crush on Amanda since he was 10 years old. Because of the 5 year age difference, he knows Amanda always thought of him as her little brother's best friend, but he wants to be more. Now that the age difference isn't a big deal anymore, Dylan wants to make sure Amanda knows he's interested. Helping out with the renovations of her new home gives him just the opportunity he's looking for. The seduction begins.
Julia Templeton has written a truly fascinating erotic quickie. Her characters are so well developed and you feel comfortable with them from the beginning. The hero and heroine fall in love a little too quickly for my taste, but with such a short story you gotta do what you gotta do. Dylan is a classic hero who knows what he wants and he goes after it. Amanda is on the rebound, but isn't afraid to jump in and take another chance. This reviewer highly recommends HOMETOWN HERO. Pick-up a copy today and I promise you won't be disappointed.

Hometown Hero
Sensuality rating: Explicit
After Amanda finds out that her fiance, a pilot, has been cheating on her with another flight attendant, she decides to go home. She left the small town when she was eighteen but now it seems like the perfect place to live. When she gets there, her younger brother and his friend, who she remembers as a cute thirteen year old, help her move in. Only her brother's friend, Dylan, is no longer a cute little boy. Now he's a very sexy man, and she barely bites back words that would let him know she's very interested in his new self. And Dylan himself has never gotten rid of his crush on Amanda. Hometown Hero was a charming contemporary romance, with a few erotic love scenes thrown in. I thought Dylan was very sexy, and the younger man/older woman romance plot never seemed to take complete hold. There was no real angst in Amanda over lusting after Dylan, which I appreciated, and Dylan never acted his age. They seemed perfectly matched. My only discontent while reading Hometown Hero was the abrupt shift in the story from Dylan and Amanda lusting for each other but still dancing around the subject to jumping right in without hesitation. It was almost like a part of the story was cut from the middle, leaving that part seeming incomplete. But I still really like this Quickie, and enjoyed the rather traditional feel it had.

The characters in Julia Templeton's newest book are delightful with their charming and appealing personalities. From the moment we are introduced to the hero and heroine, their spirited nature shines through and makes readers care greatly about what happens to each of them. The story line of the older woman/younger man is very believable, especially with the depth of emotions shown by the macho yet caring hero. I could almost feel his intense passion when he expressed his feelings to the heroine. Their love scenes are blazing with fervent sensuality, as their hearts are becoming deeply involved in their relationship. HOMETOWN HERO is a heartwarming, sometimes humorous, story about finding love where you least expect it but with wondrous results.
When flight attendant Amanda Holladay discovers that her fiancé has been seeing another woman for six months, she immediately tells him their engagement is over. With this disruption to her life, Amanda believes the time has arrived for her to alter her future plans. She decides that her New York apartment, which she shares with two other flight attendants, is too noisy with no privacy. So Amanda, at age thirty, quits her job and moves back to her small hometown in Oregon that she left twelve years ago. She finds a small house to buy, which will be perfect for her after some renovations.
With the help of her younger brother, Jeff, she hopes to make her home completely livable. Jeff is assisted by his best friend, Dylan Ryder, who owns a construction company, in getting his sister settled in her new home. Amanda remembers Dylan as a cute boy of thirteen. The man, who delivers some of her parents' old furniture to her house, is definitely not a boy any longer. With his exceptional eyes and warm smile, Dylan deeply affects Amanda. But she knows she needs to concentrate on her home and finding work, not on her brother's handsome friend. Dylan has always had a crush on Amanda, and now that she is back in his town, he plans on letting her know his feelings. Can Amanda forget about the age difference between her and Dylan, and can she learn to trust any man again?
The powerful feelings between Dylan and Amanda made the pages sizzle from the moment they meet. Ms. Templeton creates thoughts and feelings for this couple which are genuine and makes Dylan and Amanda completely credible. With a fun plot, HOMETOWN HERO entertains readers with characters who are magnetic with heartfelt emotions.
